The Obsession

Ok, so I have this thing for baskets and containers. If you look in my cupboards and drawers you will see that almost everything is in a nice little basket. All my kids' toys have to fit in tupperware and if possible be labeled. I know, it's odd…"Sorry baby, I know you really wanted that new toy but it is not part of a set and it doesn't fit in a container."

The latest problem is that if I see anything laying around the room: clean laundry, used laundry, toys, shoes, you name it, I will throw them all into a big laundry basket till I can get to it. I love this method as it keeps it all together and the room tidy, besides an overflowing laundry basket, of course.

Now the problem is that Phil hates it. Everyday he'll ramble for a few minutes about how unsanitary it is and I vow to never do it again, of course we both know that I will.Blush

This is fun…try it!

Take this test!

Recipe for: The Creative Mom

Quote: “No problem! We’ll just…”

Ingredients:

A bunch of fresh ideas

A potful of ingenuity

A dash of inspiration

Whatever’s in the fridge

You’re the type of mom who can make a prize-winning Halloween costume from cardboard boxes and old stuff from the garage, or whip up a tasty after-work meal from whatever’s in the fridge and the cupboard. And what about your ability to make an earlier bedtime sound like a great idea to the kids? When there’s a problem, you solve it—with wit and inspiration.

You’re a figure-outer and it shows in your creativity and innovation. Whether it’s taking care of school projects or giving social advice to your kids, when you put that sharp mind to it, you always come up with devastatingly clever solutions.

Tip: Don’t slow down on the ingenuity when it comes time for cooking for the family. If you know they like something, don’t make it over and over. Be creative. Think of other dishes that are similar to the favorites, but with an interesting twist. It may lead to a world of new “mom, can we have?” requests.

All in a days work…

Don't you just look at your kids and think they have got to be the cutest in the whole world?

Christie and I decided to take the kids to the park. The kids were peacefully playing when suddenly Christie grabs one of them and screams…

After trying numerous times to kill it by throwing rocks on his head, I then try to crush his head with all my weight but it was still alive and kicking so I flagged down a truck with two guys in it and they came with sticks and chopped his head off.

We left the park and opted for a safer activity…visiting the animals at the circus.

God I love my job!
